Philosophy

My philosophy is based on a therapeutic relationship founded on respect, empathy, and genuine collaboration. I believe that each patient is an expert in their own experience, and my role is to accompany them with tools that promote their autonomy and well-being. The values that guide my practice are: Empathy and active listening: I understand that each person goes through unique circumstances. I listen without judgment, validating their emotions. Respect for individuality: I adapt treatment to the needs, pace, and context of each patient, honoring their uniqueness. Commitment to excellence: I maintain constant updates in methodologies based on scientific evidence, ensuring effective and ethical interventions. Focus on integral well-being: I work not only on reducing symptoms but also on enhancing life projects, personal values, and quality of life. Service attitude: I am motivated to contribute to the well-being of individuals, accompanying them warmly in their transformation processes.

Approach

I integrate the cognitive-behavioral model with third-generation therapies, creating a flexible approach tailored to the needs of each patient. I use cognitive restructuring and behavioral modification techniques, complemented by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and compassion strategies. I apply tools such as functional breathing, emotional regulation, and behavioral activation to promote mental and emotional balance. The treatment is collaborative and goal-oriented, working both on reducing psychological distress and developing skills to face future difficulties. Interventions include psychoeducation, problem-solving training, gradual exposure, and cognitive defusion techniques. The purpose is not only to alleviate present symptoms but also to increase overall well-being and enhance the patient’s life project, promoting personal values and commitment to meaningful actions that enrich their development and quality of life.
